This room is no more. I have stripped the hydrangea border off (that took hours, the adhesive was so glue-y) and am now painting over the heather and blue with "natural wicker" Very tame but it's what all tenants seem to want - lots of neutrals. I remember decorating this room after having the fireplace installed and I just loved the colours but it's time for an update I guess. We had a fire going in the grate last night when we popped in and it was lovely. I sat watching the firelight making dancing shadows against the half-painted pale walls.
The next pic is the back of the house which needs a little work and perhaps a garden seat placed there for taking morning coffee.
The last picture is the shed at the bottom of the garden which needs a good paint and those tumbling roses tamed a little! I bought that rose in 1999 at the Lost Gardens of Heligan in Cornwall.

Ahhh a fellow packer and mover - the whole process is horrid!
I see you are also a fan of freecycle - we have given away so much that would otherwise have gone off to the tip. We re-homed a video to a family recently and the husband collected it and handed me 36 bars of chocolate! He was a driver for Cadburys - now that has got to be freecycle at its best!

Hi! and thanks for commenting on my blog. Hope you come back. Not a nice phobia is it? I don't get many English contacts, they are usually from the US so this was nice. I willcome back and read all your posts.
Forgot to say I love your fireplace. My daughter has same in her hone but different coloured tiles.
Lovely photos. Good luck with it all!
I love that fire place.

what a beautiful rose rambling over your shed. I love that plants always remind us of places and people. Thank you for stopping by my blog. Hope you enjoyed the read.
