The Sunshine Coast

And so we spent our last few days idling away on the Sunshine Coast. The place that we stayed was fan-tas-tic! Beach Hideaway was just what we needed to recover from all the fun we had. We looked out on the ocean, enjoyed a BBQ, met up with some friends at their home in the forest, swam in the sea, pottered on the deserted beach, relaxed in the hot tub and visited Halfmoon Bay and on the last night we took a little evening boat trip around Sechelt Inlet and watched the lights of Sandy Hook where our friends' house is.
A perfect holiday....I cannot wait to get back there.

Welcome back Annie - have been checking in most days hoping to see you, thanks for stopping by today and directing me here.

Oh wow! it's all so familiar - especially Vctoria, Vancouver, Lake Louise etc. - we have the same pics - Butchart Gdns., Gastown steam clock etc. etc. So glad you had a fabulous time.

Western Canada really is awesome isn't it? I would LOVE to live there - or Washington State so I could cross the border and be there in short time! I wouldn't even mind the cooler wet weather - I dislike Southern weather in the Summer and this one has been the hottest, driest in the 30 years I've lived in N. Carolina - in fact still in the 90's daily but tomorrow - roll on tomorrow - it's going to start cooling, thank goodness.

We leave Monday for Devon - and I'm excited as it's been two years since I was home (yes, still 'home' and always will be). When we land Tues. it will be 45 years from the day I left for the USA! My brother is flying over from his home in France to visit with us for a few days which is great. Keep your fingers crossed that we will have dry weather - surely Britain can't stand anymore rain right now and I want to get out in the countryside/moors/coastal path and do some walking. For us the shopping will be at a minimum this trip as the $ is so weak - but I will be scouting M&S for a few things perhaps, and of course food to eat whilst we're in the Torquay apt.

I'll be posting before I leave - this week is hectic but I like to try to keep up with my blog. I seem to be gathering quite a few new blog friends - this is great, but finding it hard to comment on everyones' posts, it takes a big chunk of the day!!

Thanks for sharing the great photos - guess I'll be coming back from the UK with plenty too!

Enjoy the week and take care.
Sorry this is so long - hope I didn't ramble too much!

It sounds like a most memorable trip. I have never had a chance to go to Vancouver or the Rockies, but hope to do so one day.

Your photographs are great...now I really want to visit.
