We visited J&T with new baby Jemimah

We arrived in Oxford at our friends house, had lunch, walked up the rather unattractively-named "The Clumps" had tea and cake while we chatted before dinner and had a nice evening with them. Jemimah is such a good baby! Next day we went to church with them before lunch and heading home.

Dinner at N&Bs after the dancing show...pictures of "the girls", baby Alice, Miriam with her upside-down sunglasses and Naomi watching Grandma talking to Emu!

Strictly Come Dancing

We had booked tickets for the 3 daughters-in-law to take Janet (mum/mum-in-law) to Strictly Come Dancing - the Tour - as she is a real fan. We got the last 4 seats together which was good. It was a great afternoon out. We all loved the experience and it was a fun atmosphere. I would definitely go again - it would be great to be near the front too. At night we went to N&B's to have a meal all together.

I fed chickens!

This was really fun. I visited my friend Martine and she keeps chickens so I fed them (they peck quite hard!) and they laid some eggs...still warm...and she gave me them to take home and we made delicious yellow scrambled eggs for Saturday breakfast. We loved it!

So Valentine's Day for us...

It was Mike's turn to do dinner which he made lots of effort with and we had a nice relaxing evening which is rare in our house as we seem to be busy all the time. We had fruit salad starter, chicken and pasta and then a fabulous dessert that he concocted. We also celebrated with honey chocolate, cherry beer and roses beside a roaring fire.

Bridgnorth

We took a day trip first to Wolverhampton to sort out our rental flat there, then we went to David Austin Roses at Albrighton. I love it there in summer. Mike hadn't been before so we had a nice lunch there but there were no roses out of course at this time of year so then we moved on to Bridgnorth. Mike had a quick visit to the Severn Valley Railway (he loves that place!) and then we had a walk around the cute town.

Where we live...

This is the view of the castle at the end of our road and also the park which is just around the corner. The picture of the birds on the water was taken as we walked through the park on the way to have breakfast at my favourite coffee shop, Escape.
The next shot is when we stood watching the flooding at the ford next to the castle. It's always interesting to see who dares to drive through it!
