Blenheim

.

We had a great trip to Blenheim Palace in Woodstock. I really wanted to go here before the baby comes so am delighted we actually did it.
The day was beautiful. We looked round the house, enjoyed the Winston Churchill exhibition particularly. I'd like to go back when I'm back to normal and don't need to keep sitting down with my bump.
We had a lovely lunch in the restaurant sitting overlooking the water gardens.
The tickets were expensive but they allow us in for a year so hopefully we will go back and see more of the gardens during the year.

Easter

My parents came to stay for Easter after their holiday.
We had a good time.
On Easter Monday we went to the coffee morning and chatted to people, my dad did some painting then we all had lunch together before going for a walk near the castle.
I didn't get far before heading back home and doing some gardening
but it was a lovely sunny holiday.

Visits from the aunts

My aunt came to stay with us before Easter so it was nice to catch up with her and have lunch and sit outside and chat and walk (slowly for me!) in town. She stayed one night with us as she was mainly staying with my cousin in Nottingham.
Mike's aunt also came up last week from Oxford just for the day. I hadn't seen her since we told people we were expecting so it was a lot of catching up for us.

For little feet....

This is the first purchase that I bought for our baby,
little trainers with ribbons to lace up.
My husband thinks I'm mad :)
All girls need pretty shoes, even little girls.
